Lost SF celebrates the businesses, landmarks, and neighborhood icons that helped define San Francisco—places that are now closed, vanished, or simply memories shared by the people who loved them. Whether they disappeared through the city’s natural evolution or during the unprecedented wave of closures brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, each left its own mark on the character of San Francisco.

Lost SF began with a single mural.

For decades, the colorful mural on the side of Lucca Ravioli Company in the Mission District welcomed neighbors and passersby alike. When the beloved family business closed, the mural remained—a reminder of a place that meant something to generations of San Franciscans. Recreating that mural became the first Lost SF design and the inspiration for everything that followed.

Our collections transform these memories into wearable art, prints, and keepsakes that spark conversations between strangers, reconnect friends through shared experiences, and celebrate the places that made San Francisco unlike anywhere else.

This isn’t about looking backward with sadness.

It’s about smiling when someone recognizes a familiar logo, remembers a favorite meal, or tells a story that begins with, “I used to go there…”

As cities grow, neighborhoods change, and familiar places disappear, a little of their character can disappear too. Lost SF exists to wave the flag of memory—to celebrate the independent businesses, local institutions, and uniquely San Franciscan places that deserve to be remembered.

Because while the buildings may be gone, the memories are still here.
