Collection: Lucca Ravioli

For nearly a century, Lucca Ravioli Company was a Mission District institution. Opened at 22nd and Valencia in 1925, the family-run Italian market became famous for handmade ravioli, fresh pasta, sandwiches, meats, cheeses and imported goods. Generations of San Franciscans took a number and waited at its old-school deli counter while fresh pasta was made in the back. Lucca closed on April 30, 2019, after 94 years in business, but its unmistakable red, white and green mural remains—a reminder of a neighborhood favorite that once seemed like it would always be there.
